Magnum Opus Award
Recognizing professional achievement through advanced learning.
Sponsored by Nycomed Canada Inc this award specifically recognizes pharmacists who have completed advanced training or education and have successfully expanded their practice as a result. The Nycomed Magnum Opus Award will raise awareness of the value and availability of advanced training for pharmacists.
Pharmacists may be nominated by another individual or they may nominate themselves.
Award Specifications:
One winner from each province will receive a trophy and $1,000 to be donated to the pharmacy school alma mater or disease-based charity of their choice. Winners will be profiled in Pharmacy Practice and Quebec Pharmacie magazines and at the provincial awards ceremony.
Eligibility Criteria:
Pharmacists who have completed specialty education or training and who, as a result, have successfully expanded their professional practice, are eligible for this award.
Entries must include:
- Evidence of completed specialty education or training
- A description of how the pharmacist has successfully expanded their professional practice as a result of this additional training
- supporting materials, testimonials from patients and other healthcare providers, data that demonstrate the success of the expanded practice.
